26th Street Sugar Shack has been a Chicagoland summertime favorite since opening in May of 2006. We are a family owned and operated small business who thrive on seeing our customers’ smiling faces and the strong bond our staff has created throughout the years.
Owner, Nikki Panatera, has often been quoted in saying, “although managing a staff of 25, mostly teenagers, can be extremely challenging and drives me crazy at times I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world! Paving the way for these kids entering the work world and seeing first hand how their nervousness and hesitation change into confidence and pride is by far the best part of my job”.
We take pride in offering fresh, mouth watering desserts and family friendly service. We offer 12 flavors of hand scooped ice cream and the best soft serve in Bridgeport with 30 different toppings and mix ins! We encourage each customer to be original and creative with their choices.
Customer favorites include our “famous” Funnel Cake Sundaes, homemade Italian ice and delicious milk shakes. If you’re in the mood for something unique, sweet and unforgettable stop by Sugar Shack for a one of a kind, summertime treat!
Our funnel cakes are always fried fresh to order. You can enjoy them with simply a sprinkle of powdered sugar or you can go all out by topping them with any combination of our 12 ice cream flavors & over 30 different candies, cookies, fruit & syrups.
The possibilities are endless as far as what we can create for you with our 12 different flavors of hand packed ice cream and rotating flavor of the month. Of course, we love our classic vanilla, chocolate & swirl soft serve too.
